Slab Coffee Table

We found a beautiful Claro Walnut slab, with dramatic grain and color, at our mill in western MA. These tables are mostly about the slab, but we wanted to create a base that could also hold its own, and compliment the slab. Our solution, which we’ve used several times, is a simple but interesting form with straight lines and angled joinery details. The sawmill offers many other species in live edge slab form. They maintain some of their inventory on their website, which we are happy to share.
