Instead of using a uniform grid arrangement, our architect client wanted to stagger the drawers to create a more distinctive façade, and varying size drawers. The maple case is wrapped in a thick continuous walnut shell with inward tapered front edges. The drawers are mounted with self-closing metal slides. We installed satin nickel pulls after these photos were taken, but we could also use spring loaded touch slides to maintain this minimalist look.
